Family seek help from former work colleagues at the Co-op Manchester

Michael Wilson sadly passed away as a result of mesothelioma, an asbestos induced cancer on 8 December 2019 . The Asbestos Law Partnership is acting on behalf of his family.
Michael spent the vast majority of his career working for the Co-operative Group in Manchester. He started as an office junior at the age of 15 in 1957 at the group’s Corporation Street site and worked in the Provisions Department before working his way up the ranks of the organisation to become Sales Development Manager and then National Manager for Fresh Produce when he retired in 1999.
Mr Wilson worked in the Co-op’s city centre sites; Balloon Street , Pollard Street warehouses, Rochdale Road/Shudehill until moving to Liverpool Road in Irlam and back to Balloon Street in 1993 where he was working at the time of the IRA Manchester bomb in 1996.
Mr Wilson’s family are appealing for anyone who knows anything about asbestos at any of the above Co-operative Group’s sites
