29 May 2018
Wheelchairs purchased thanks to a donation from John Pickering and Partners Charitable Trust are now benefitting patients at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The charity donated £751.50 for two wheelchairs and a sterile procedure trolley to support the appropriate management of patients with pleural disease. The equipment is now available for use when reviewing patients attending the Pleural Clinical in Ward 37 at Arrowe Park Hospital.
Maria Parsonage, Nurse Consultant In Respiratory Medicine, said: “We would like to extend our sincere thanks John Pickering and Partners Charitable Trust for the generous donation. The wheelchairs are now in full use, and have made a massive difference in transporting our frail and often symptomatic patients between clinics. Their availability has had an extremely positive impact upon our patients with pleural disease and are a very welcome addition to our Pleural Clinic.”
